Our Mission

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in your power to act.

Proverbs 3:27

Johnston County House of Hope exists to provide women with a safe, sober, and Christ-centered environment where healing, restoration, and hope can begin. Our mission is to walk alongside women as they rebuild their lives through faith, support, accountability, and practical guidance toward lasting independence.

Stories That Touch The Soul

Insight & Inspiration

After 14 months in jail and being separated from my kids, the House of Hope didn't hesitate to take me in and help me become the mother, wife and servant of Christ I was always meant to be. They provided shelter and transportation to 12 weeks of parenting courses, got me more involved in ministering to others, and ultimately helped me in getting my family back. Now I have graduated, gotten married and have my family back - as well as a job I love. I continue to support others in recovery and love the life I now have. A HUGE thank you the House of Hope.

I surrendered July 13, 2013. My living environment had sucked every bit of spiritual hope that I was sure my Father had promised me. Without fellowship and spiritual guidance, I was alone with my Bible in a sea of misfortune. When I reached out to the House of Hope, I was at my last drop of hope and realized that God had a purpose for me that would radiate light in His Glory.

"Always pray and never give up"

Luke 18:1

   - P. Williams, Graduate & former night/weekend manager

The House of Hope took me in when I needed safety and stability in my life. Since being here, I have been able to understand myself better. I have gained employment, regained my driver's license, purchased my own vehicle and continue to grow and learn each day. I am grateful for the House of Hope as they understand not everyone is coming from the same situation. They were able to work on my path and help me become a better person. I plan to continue to grow in Christ here until I am ready to transition back into society on my own.
